"Leave no soldier behind -- no exceptions"

Maj. Gen. (ret) Charles J. Dunlap Jr.
So writes retired Air Force Major General (and Duke Law professor) Charles J. Dunlap Jr. in an important article for Reuters. General Dunlap very usefully surveys past U.S. practice in dealing with personnel who wind up behind enemy lines. A must-read in light of the current controversy over swapped Army Sgt. Bowe R. Bergdahl.

  1. As is to be expected from him, Charlie adds clarity to the vision that was becoming cloudy by those unfamiliar with the military ethos involved. Good read!
